Battalion Chief Joseph H. Gindele, Jr. (1929-1979) served with the Philadelphia Fire Department for 30 years. The Joseph Gindele Jr. scrapbooks, 1923-1999, consist of about 75 scrapbooks about the fire department and individual fire incidents.
The Fireman's Hall Museum photograph and scrapbook collection, 1871-2012, is comprised of photographs and scrapbooks collected by the Museum. Most of the photographs are original, but some are reproductions. They relate to Philadelphia fires, fire companies, apparatus, and fire history.
George E. Hink (1898-1965) began his service with the Philadelphia Fire Department in 1921. He rose through the ranks, attaining the rank of Deputy Fire Commissioner and Chief of Department in 1952. The George E. Hink scrapbooks, 1922-1938, consist of newspaper clipping scrapbooks relating to fires and fire-fighting history.
