Abstract:

Founded in 1895, Delaware County Historical Society is the oldest historical society in Delaware County. Its mission is to acquire, preserve and make available documentation of Delaware County history; to provide and support educational programs on the history of Delaware County; and to publish materials relevant to this history. The Delaware County Historical Society records, 1895-2013 (bulk, 1980-2000), consist of the Society's inactive records, including administrative and financial records, correspondence and newsletters, and materials relating to members, events, and programs. Also included are the minutes and financial papers of the Eastern Chapter of the Delaware County Historical Society.
