Abstract:: The William H. Helfand collection of medical quackery ephemera contains prints that address the public perception of physicians and the practice of medicine across three centuries (1736-2006, with undated materials). A large number of cartoons from nineteenth century French satirical newspapers reveal that medical practices and symbols were used to visually express political sentiments. In this collection, medicine also emerges as a theme in imagerie populaire, inexpensive block prints mass-produced during the same period. Other aspects and eras of medicine are represented in the collection's portraits, advertisements, devotional images and artwork.

Abstract:: The Lippincott Library supports business related research at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. The library collected World War II corporate wartime publications as a resource for business students. These publications were produced by corporations during or immediately following the war to highlight wartime contributions and achievements.

Abstract:: This collection contains 113 postcards, largely documenting cities in France. For the most part, these postcards appear to be aimed at tourists, showing art, architecture (interior and exterior), memorials, landscapes, streets, and tourist attractions. There are also a few postcards of Il Monte Carmelo (Mount Carmel) in Israel, a Holy Land site; Napoli in Italy; and the Museum of Jewish Ceremonial Objects at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, New York City.

Abstract:: The Hedgerow Theatre Company was established in 1923 by Jasper Deeter, a New York based actor and director. Located in the Rose Valley Arts and Crafts Community of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Hedgerow Theatre was considered a haven for cutting edge artists of the early 20th century. This collection consists of ten posters advertising Hedgerow Theatre Company's seasons and repertory, dating from the 1940s to the 1950s.
