Joseph Wharton Lippincott (1887-1976) worked at the publication house of J.B. Lippincott Company for fifty years and led that company as President for twenty-one years. He also wrote seventeen nature books for children, including The Wahoo Bobcat (1955).
This collection consists of manuscripts of Joseph W. Lippincott, including a manuscript of The Wahoo Bobcat; and manuscripts and typescripts of Black Wings, Phantom Deer, and Wildernss Champion. The manuscripts are not illustrated.
