Several of the fifteen leaves laid in the volume with recipes are addressed to Mrs. Landor in Warwick and Ipsley Court and one leaf is addressed to Dr. Landor. The first fourteen leaves of the volume are titled "Numeration" listing comparative weights and measures and arithmetic problems and exercises for subtraction and multiplication. The remainder of the volume comprises numerous culinary recipes for making wines, sauces, meat dishes, puddings, cakes, and tarts. Some recipes have attributions and include Mrs. Jago, Mrs. Clarke, Mrs. Wild, Mrs. Gregory, and Mrs. Trehernes. Preceding the recipes is a crossed out portion of a poem. One leaf laid in the volume bears a watermark with the year 1795.
