Abstract:

Arthur Preston Whitaker (1895-1979) was a professor of Latin American History at the University of Pennsylvania from 1936 - 1965. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and Harvard University (Ph.D).

The Arthur Preston Whitaker Papers consists mainly of personal correspondence, along with files on the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and the American Historical Association.

This is an unprocessed collection. Only rough inventory exists.

The Arthur Preston Whitaker Papers were donated to the University Archives in 1966 (accession number 66-31) and 1967 (accession number 67-33).
