After received her degree at the University of Pennsylvania, Morris entered the career of teaching. She went on to the French School at Middlebury College and earned a master's degree in 1930 and attended a summer session at the Sorbonne in Paris. In her later years, Morris taught at Bridgeton High School in New Jersey. She married James Walter Morris.

Jean C. Morris' scrapbook documents some of the activities of her student days at the University of Pennsylvania from 1921 to 1925. The documentation is primarily in the form of programs, tickets, newspaper clippings, notes and letters. There are a few realia items, such as a freshman button, a feather, a paper rose worn at a football game, and tags worn in support individual sports matches, including women's athletic contests. Most of the contents relate to athletic events. The scrapbook itself is a specially produced book with an embossed image of College Hall and the title "University of Pennsylvania Memory Book" on the cover and pre-printed pages in the beginning of the book designed to record the outcomes of college sports matches. Many pages have items removed from them which Morris removed prior to donating the scrapbook because she did not relate to her activities at the University.
The contents of the scrapbook are arranged chronologically.
Donated to the University Archives by Jean C. Morris in 1977.
