Wilfred Donnell Gillen was a corporate executive. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his B.S. in 1923. He went on to serve as president of the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania from 1949-1965. He also served as a trustee of the University (1952-1968) and was chairman (1961-1968). Gillen received the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Award of Merit in1956, and an honorary LL.D. in 1965.
