John Pyros is a teacher, writer, and founder, editor, and publisher of Dramatika, an alternative drama and fiction periodical. Dramatika published the work of non-mainstream poets and playwrights during the late 1960s and 1970s.
This is a collection of papers of John Pyros. Materials include: correspondence; manuscripts of poems, short stories, and plays; posters and flyers; playbills; photographs; book catalogs; newspaper clippings; and invoices. The archives contain manuscripts submitted for publication and correspondence related to publication and production of plays written by the following individuals: Steve Abbott, Aram Boyajian, Geoffrey Cook, Morris Gest, Solomon J. Leon, Barry Litvack, Tommie Mew, Ruth A. Wantling, and William Wantling.
