Personal papers including photographs of Uris and immigration documents such as Polish passport; a copy of an oral history transcript of an interview conducted by David Barol with William Uris on January 28, 1981? tracing his pre-WWI life in a shtetl in Poland too his experience as a newly arrived immigrant in the United States; and records correspondence including two letters that have been partially translated into English from Yiddish related to the Wolkowysker Fahrein, 1946-1952; who served as the organization's president
Gift of William Uris, 1975-1981. Collection previously administered by the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center, acquired by Temple in June 2009.
