First leaf of a dogale issued by the doge Girolamo Priuli (ruled 1559-1567) nominating Pansolfo Guoro as capital of Famagusta, Cyprus. Minature in the style of the Master "T.o Ve" appears on what was likely the first leaf of the dogale depicts Pansolfo Guoro in prayer before Christ. A dogale (pl. dogali) is a document issued by a doge, the title for the highest elected official in several Italian republics.

Formerly owned by Bertram, 4th earl of Ashburnham; Henry Yates Thompson, May 1897; sold at Sotherby's as one of eighteen leaves "Abstracted from Ducali" forming lot 132 on May 1, 1899; Frederick Startridge Ellis, London bookseller, circa 1900; Conwell School of Theology; transferred to Temple University in 1969.
