"Goschenhoppen is one of the oldest continuously existing Pennsylvania German communities in America. This geographic region occupies a small corner of southeastern Pennsylvania in Montgomery County. The Goschenhoppen Historians Inc., was founded in 1964 in order to preserve the folk culture of this area's earliest immigrant settlers, known as the Pennsylvania Dutch."

This collection includes a variety of scrapbooks. Most are newspaper clippings scrapbooks focusing on Perkiomen Valley local history. There are also two Victorian-era scrapbooks with calling cards, colorful advertising cards, and cut-out illustrations. Finally, there are a few scrapbooks with poems and fictional stories cut out from newspapers. The vast majority of these scrapbooks were made on repurposed published books.
