Abstract:
The Springside School (now known as Springside Chestnut Hill Academy after a merger with Chestnut Hill Academy in 2002) is a private school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Springside School Collection, 1972-1973, is comprised of yearbooks from the School dating from this period.

This collection consists of yearbooks of Springside School for 1972 and 1973. The 1972 yearbook was originally owned by Beth Somers, there are messages from classmates written throughout the book. The yearbooks include faculty and student photos and descriptions, patrons' list, ads, and activities. There is a copy of the Chestnut Burr, the Springside School literary magazine from 1949, and a booklet, "Springside Reunion News," 1996.

Summary descriptive information on this collection was compiled in 2011-2012 as part of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s Hidden Collections Initiative for Pennsylvania Small Archival Repositories (HCI-PSAR), using data provided by the Chestnut Hill Historical Society. The HCI-PSAR project was funded by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

This is a preliminary finding aid. No physical processing, rehousing, reorganizing, or folder listing was done in the HCI-PSAR project.
