Overview and metadata sections

The objective of the Native Plant Garden is to create a native demonstration garden so that area residents can see and learn about Wissahickon native plants. The project was co-chaired by Carolyn Adams and Emilie Lapham, Chestnut Hill Historical Society Landscape Committee, who together managed planning, purchasing, documenting and integrating the efforts of an enormous volunteer effort. The garden was dedicated on Sunday, September 27, 2009.

This collection is comprised of documentation relating to the redesigned and replanted garden of the Chestnut Hill Historical Society / Friends of the Wissahickon headquarters garden. Materials include all project details, working manual, plant lists, media articles, photo images, plans etc. Formats include loose-leaf notebooks, copies, CDs, objects, etc.

Gift of Chestnut Hill Historical Society staff, 2008.
