Overview and metadata sections

A building was constructed at 105 Bethlehem Pike in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia in 1888 for William A. Whittem, Apothecary. The business operated as Whittem's Pharmacy until 1970.

This collection consists of three ledger books. The first is a leather-bound book with printed lines on pages (not in alphabetical order; some names are listed in two different places), and entries by hand in ink. Two volumes of business records detail billings to and payments by residents of Chestnut Hill, 1900 and 1917.

Gift of Ethel Nalle, 2002.
