Dr. Allen Byron Stowe was born in 1896. He was an professor of Chemistry at Kalamazoo College in Michigan. He was a long time member of the American Chemical Society and was active in the organization. He died in a car accident in 1957.

This is a college level student notebook. The subjects covered are Ammonia Solutions (Dr. Kraus) and Analytical Chemistry (Dr. Merigold). This notebook is most likely from his master degree work at Clark University done around 1923.
