George Richard Smoluk was a graduate of Princeton University (B.S., 1949, M.S. 1951). He majored in Engineering with a particular interest in the emerging plastics industry. Smoluk edited the SPE Journal for a number of years and held several U.S Patents relating to plastics production.

The collection is technical and contains no personal material. It deals with production and economic aspects of the plastics industry with a particular emphasis on polyurethanes.

This is a small collection of reports and articles written and/or edited by Smoluk, all dealing with aspects of the plastics industry. His B.S. and M.S. Theses are included.
