Overview and metadata sections

Joan Warnow-Blewitt was Associate Director of the AIP Center for the History of Physics. She was trained as a librarian and first went to work at the American Institute of Physics in 1965 as the Librarian of the Niels Bohr Library. She was a Fellow of the Society of American Archivists and did pioneering work in what is now known as documentation strategy, working in collaboration with archivists and historians to save the papers of individual physicists at their home institutions. She retired in 1998 and died on May 30, 2006.

This set of materials covers the main points of the documentation strategy theory of archives preservation. It also contains information on oral histories as relating to physics history.

This is a series of AIP Guides and question sets dealing with the study of collaborations in high energy physics. Collection comprises a a single folder with printed documents and typed computer printed letters inside.
