Overview and metadata sections

The International Year of the Periodic Table of Elements Philatelic Collection includes commemorative philatelic materials created by the Postal Union of the Americas and Spain celebrating the International Year of the Periodic Table of Elements from 2019. The collection includes a Spanish postage stamp with text in Spanish and a color illustration of the periodic table of elements, a postal cover with text in Spanish and a color illustration of the periodic table of elements with a copy of the stamp adhered to the front, and a booklet with text in Spanish detailing the importance of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Elements postage stamp and postal cover. Also included is a letter explaining the importance of the collection as collected and maintained by Pedro Lozano Rodríguez.

The International Year of the Periodic Table of Elements Philatelic Collection was donated to the Science History Institute (formerly the Chemical Heritage Foundation) by Pedro Lozano Rodríguez in 2019.
