Overview and metadata sections

The ETAD (Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes and Organic Pigments Manufacturers) was Swiss based organization, formed by members of the industry with the purpose of "improving industry practices, encouraging safe use and disposal of dyes, and communicating health, safety and environmental information to our customers". Eleven U.S. dye manufacturers were members and Janice M. Warnquist represented Crompton & Knowles as their Director of Environmental Health and Safety.

The ETAD DyeCare Initiative presentation was designed to be used as an instructional tool for industry workers and customers. It contains some text but is mostly a slide show, with the text serving as a script to accompany the projected images. The Crompton & Knowles Health & Safety Resource Manual draws heavily from materials contained in the ETAD slide presentation but contains text only.
