Adolph Faber Du Faur was a mining engineer who attended Fehling's lectures at the Polytechnik Institute of Stuttgart in 1843 and 1844.

This a rebound notebook containing notes on three different courses. There is also a small pocket notebook bound into the book at the rear. The notes are about the Organic Chemistry, Quantitative Chemistry and General Chemistry lectures given in 1843 and 1844.
