The Joy Haarstick Collection contains an instruction manual, two instruction bulletins, and an instruction manual page pertaining to infrared spectroscopy instruments collected by Joy Haarstick. The contents of the collection consist of an instruction manual for the Beckman Instruments Corporation IR 12 Infrared Spectrophotometer, an instruction bulletin for Barnes Engineering Company 904 Series Remountable Liquid Cells, an instruction bulletin for McCarthy Scientific Company Infrared Crystals, and a user manual page for Sybron Corporation Thermolyne Heating Tapes.

The Joy Haarstick Collection was donated to the Science History Institute (formerly the Chemical Heritage Foundation) by Joy Haarstick in June 2005.
