Overview and metadata sections

Marlborough Monthly Meeting was established in 1972 by Western Quarterly Meeting out of Marlborough Preparative Meeting of Kennett Monthly Meeting. In 2015 Marlborough was transferred from Western Quarterly Meeting to Rockingham Quarterly Meeting of Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative).

This is currently an active monthly meeting, although only records from its time affiliated with PYM are deposited at Swarthmore.

Records of Marlborough Monthly Meeting, 1972-2022. Includes minutes, 1972-2014 (when Marlborough left Philadelphia Yearly Meeting), financial and incorporation records, and records of the burial ground.

The "Marlborough Graveyard Records" binder was created in March 2022, compiling all known information about burials there from its establishment in 1801 through the 2010s. The binder includes a plot map, an alphabetical list of burials (with plot locations and to the extent known names, recorded and probable years of burial, and year of birth), a brief Marlborough Meeting House History, a reproduction and transcription of the 1801 subscription list for the burial ground, and copies of several 2022 photos of the meeting house and grounds.
