Washington Square Preparative Meeting was established in 1962, having been proposed in 1959 as a Meeting for Worship in Greenwich Village by the united New York Monthly Meeting. It briefly became a monthly meeting in 1975 when the New York City meetings were reorganized. Its last meeting was in August 1976.
