Abstract:
Records of Poplar Ridge Monthly Meeting and its predecessor Scipio Monthly Meeting of Friends (Orthodox), 1745-present. Includes minutes 1828-1984, vital records 1745-1985, and newsletters 1991-1995 along with other records.

Scipio Monthly Meeting was founded in 1808 under Easton Quarterly Meeting. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. In 1847 the Orthodox branch underwent a further schism as the Wilburites separated. In 1962 the Orthodox branch became Poplar Ridge Monthly Meeting, which body continues to the resent day.
