Abstract:

Potomac Quarterly Meeting was formed in 1951 as a United quarterly meeting in the area surrounding the Potomac River in Virginia and Maryland. The monthly meetings that formed Potomac included Alexandria Monthly Meeting, Goose Creek United Monthly Meeting, Friends Meeting of Washington D.C., Washington Monthly Meeting, and both Hopewell Monthly Meetings (Orthodox and Hicksite). Potomac was laid down by Representative Meeting on 10mo 28 2000.

Records of Potomac Quarterly Meeting, 1947-2000. Includes minutes 1951-2000, Ministry and Counsel minutes 1951-1968, and miscellaneous 1947-1991.

Divided into series: 1.Minutes; 2.Ministry and Counsel; 3.Miscellaneous.

Vol. 1.1 contains documents on the beginning of the Potomac Quarterly Meeting.
