Overview and metadata sections

The New York Workshop in Nonviolence had its headquarters in the War Resisters League's office, and shared many of the same adherents. It conducted a series of peaceful, silent demonstrations to protest the United States government's conduct of the war in Vietnam. Its statement of purpose was "..to affirm that nonviolence, a creative approach to life..is the only means of social change and conflict resolution compatible with man's highest ideals." The New York Workshop in Nonviolence was one of the publishers of WIN magazine.

The Swarthmore College Peace Collection is not the official repository for the records of this organization.
