Overview and metadata sections

The National Forum; headquartered in Chicago, Illinois; flourished around 1938; organization formed to present "vital facts and points-of-view on social problems, presented pictorially in concise and vivid form, for use by student, speaker, teacher, general reader; adapted to class room, forum, discussion club, home"; National Forum issued two series of charts: "International Problems Visualized" and "Social Problems Visualized"; many of the charts were written by W. Russell Shull; artist, Shirley Hanna.
