D. in sociology, Harvard University; Professor of Regional Economic and Social Development, University of Massachusetts Lowell; Co-Director of the Peace and Conflict Studies Institute at the University of Massachusetts Lowell; has written about peace, environmental and ethnic movements, on the sociology of war and peace.

The Swarthmore College Peace Collection is not the official repository for the papers of John MacDougall.
