Kennett Square Ecumenical Peace Conferences ; a series of peace conferences, held 1981-1987 in the Kennett Square (Pennsylvania) area; although intended to be interfaith, a majority of the participants were members of the Society of Friends (Quakers). The topics included: peacemaking, the nuclear arms freeze, nonviolence, improving Soviet-U.S. relations, African issues of hunger, peace and justice; conflict resolution in family and community. The primary correspondent was Shirley Dodson of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.
