Overview and metadata sections
Edward Peter Djerejian is a former United States diplomat. He served as the United States Ambassador to Syria and Israel and is the Founding Director of the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University.
This collection includes speeches, appointment books, and clippings documenting Ambassador Djerejian's life and career.
This collection has come to Princeton in small accessions, beginning in August 2011 with accession ML.2011.028, and continuing in 2012 with accessions ML.2012.007 and ML.2012.031.
For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
This collection contains digital materials. Researchers are responsible for meeting the technical requirements needed to access these materials, including any and all hardware and software.
Preliminary processing was conducted by Maureen Callahan in 2011. A MARC record, box list, and finding aid were created at this time. For each of the 2012 accessions, a file list was created and the finding aid was updated at the time of accession. Materials in the July 2012 accession were moved into archival housing. Digital materials in Series 2 were processed by Elena Colon-Marreroin 2015
No records were separated from this collection during the course of processing.
