Overview and metadata sections

Consists of documentation that Thomas Kofodimos pulled together, when he was trying to find a United States publisher for his English translation of Lephousēs' book Asēmina Laiou. Also, includes letters from Ēlias Lephousēs to Thomas Kofodimos and to Joan Kofodimos, family photographs, and miscellaneous photographs of ELAS (Greek People's Liberation Army) leaders, materials related to Kofodimos' escape from Greece to the United States, information about his career after coming to the United States, various memoirs and personal history, death notices and obituaries of Kofodimos' published both in the United States and in Greece.

Consists of Kofodimos' personal documents that were collected in order to escape from Greece to the United States with Nancy/Athena in 1947 (Nancy referred to as "Nana", that was her nickname). Thomas Kofodimos did not participate in the Civil War.

Consists of three typescripts containing a biographical note of Thomas Kofodimos titled "Highlights of Military and Related Service/Activities, "Brief observations and experiences inside Hitler's occupied Greece" and a third one titled "Reflections on my life experiences".

Consists documentation that Thomas Kofodimos pulled together, when he was trying to find a United States publisher for his English translation of Lephousēs' book "Asēmina Laiou". Included are letters from Kofodimos to Stratis Haviaras, copies of newspaper clippings containing critiques on Lephousēs' book "Asēmina Laiou", and a copy of a contract for tranlsation in Bulgarian. According to Jean Kofodimos, translating and publishing this book was Lephousēs' request to Kofodimos.

Scope and Contents

Consists of materials related to Thomas Kofodimos' award ceremony in Volos (Greece) including the program and photographs of the honorary event in 1995. There are also other printed material regarding the 46th anniversary of EAM, the contribution of the 54th Regiment ELAS during the National Resistance, a handwritten English translation of the Resolution of the City of Volos to award Kofodimos with the city's silver metal for his actions and accomplishments during the resistance as commander of the 54th Regiment ELAS.

Scope and Contents

Consists of black-and-white photographs of Thomas Kofodimos, his parents and their house in Almyros (Volos, Greece); an elementary school photograph; early photographs of Thomas in Indianapolis and after moving back to Almyros; pre-war photographs with his fellow students at the Polytechnic School in Thessalonikē; at BP plant in Thessalonikē during civil war while trying to get out of Greece. There are also photographs of his 54th Regiment on mount Pēlion, and portrait photographs of Arēs Velouchiōtēs. Included also is an oversize group photograph depicting several leaders of the 54th Regiment ELAS taken by N. Stournaras (see folder 1, D-Middle 73, drawer 3).

Consists of (2) letters from Lephouses to Kofodimos, an authorization to Thomas to tranlsate his book in English, (1) letter to Joan Kofodimos regarding the death of her father, and a newspaper clipping pf Lephouses' obituary of Thomas Kofodimos.

Consists of a zerox copy of a certificate regarding Thomas Kofodimos participation in the national resistance as a head of the 54th Regiment ELAS in Pēlio, Greece. There are also copies of clippings of Greek newspapers regarding the honorary distinction of Kofodimos and Nikos Stournaras (Kofodimos' friend).
