Representatives of the University Club in New York City, from whom the Library received a small addition of publishing correspondence (AM 2019-13), believe they received this material from Henry Holt around the time that the bulk of the archives were acquired by Princeton.

Gift of Henry Holt and Company. The bulk of the archives were acquired in 1952 (AM 14560). Additional materials were later acquired from Henry Holt and Company via various representatives of the company, including Albert C. Edwards, Ross Sackett, Maureen McManus, William J. Tribe (AM 18508), Joanne L. Berg (AM 85-99), and others (AM 18808, AM 19842), primarily during the 1950s through the 1970s. A small addition of publishing correspondence was acquired via the University Club in New York City in 2018 (AM 2019-13).

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
