This is a finding aid. It is a description of archival material held at the Princeton University Library: University Archives. Unless otherwise noted, the materials described below are physically available in their reading room, and not digitally available through the web.
Overview and metadata sections
The collection documents the Carl A. Fields Center's programs and administration over a period of thirty years. Materials include program and event announcements, planning materials for events and forums, financial records, facility use records, board meeting minutes, annual reports, student publications and photographs.
Transferred from the Carl A. Fields Center in 2008 (AR.2008.115) and 2017 (AR.2017.019).

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.

The public website of the Fields Center provides members of the University community with information about the Center's programs, events, and resources for funding, student groups, and university partners. The website also contains a gallery of photographs taken of the Center as well as select events it's hosted.

Series 3: Latino Heritage Month Files consists of proposals, budgets, correspondence, and other office files pertaining to student life of Latino students during the 1980s and 1990s. Topics covered most heavily include Latino Heritage Month, Latino alumni, as well as academic and library resources on campus for Latino students at Princeton.

Includes correspondences that are related to the beginning process of creating the Asian Studies Program at Princeton University, there is also a copy of the Asian American Student task force, which looked at problems durrounding admissions and and racial harrassment at Princeton University. There is also an older survey that was done asking if Princeton University should have a Asian Studies Program.

This folder contains materials from the Asian American Student Association (AASA), and from the Princeton University Admin which opposed the occupation of Nassau Hall. There is also petitions that were given out to gather support for the creation of an Asian and Latin American Studies program at Princeton, along with Newspaper clippings from notable newspapers that wrote about the take over of Nassau Hall.
