Overview and metadata sections
First published sporadically in 1882 and then regularly after 1890, The Princeton Tiger is the nation's second oldest college humor magazine. Published 6 times a year, the student-run publication offers a satirical look at campus life. Past contributors to the magazine have included many prominent alumni such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and cartoonists Whitney Darrow, Jr. and Henry Martin, both of whom went on to be regularly featured in The New Yorker.
Consists of the administrative records of The Princeton Tiger. The bulk of the material is related to the magazine's finances and includes meeting minutes, correspondence, and financial statements. Also in the collection are correspondence, clippings, and some oversized drawings, as well as two audiocassettes of board meetings.
Processing information for Box 1 is not available. Boxes 2-4 were processed by Phoebe Nobles when the material was found on the shelf in 2018 in the course of surveying collections.
