Overview and metadata sections
Princeton University's Office of Human Resources was formed in 1952 under the title of the Office of Personnel Services to provide a centralized administrative unit with oversight for the institution's growing number of non-academic staff. In addition to the hiring process, Human Resources also coordinates a number of benefits programs for University employees, and keeps staff informed of the official policies and procedures of the University.
Consists of the records of the Office of Human Resources. Included are policy and procedure manuals, employment studies, administrative salary reviews, pension plan reports, and information on the University's unemployment policy.

Series 1: Office of Human Resources Records, 1951-1973 contains unemployment claims, disability insurance, workers' compensation claims, and temporary disability from the late 1970s; a policies and procedures manual from 1983; records related to a salary study of non-professional library and clerical positions conducted in 1974-1975; materials related to a 1978/1979 administrative salary review; and materials related to retirement/pension plans for nonacademic staff employees from 1952-1979.
