Overview and metadata sections
The collection consists of reports, concert programs, articles, schedules, flyers, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to performances of music on the Princeton University campus and performances elsewhere by University-affiliated groups.
This collection is arranged in a single series, with similar items generally grouped near each other.
Varnum Lansing Collins' Princeton; Thomas Jefferson Wertenbaker's Princeton: 1746-1896; and various files in the Historical Subject Files Collection were consulted during the preparation of the Organizational History.
Occasional donations of additional materials are expected indefinitely.
The bulk of this collection was transferred to Mudd Library from Firestone Library, where it was previously part of the Theater Collection, in 1997. Several donations of additional materials directly to Mudd Library have occurred subsequently, the most recent in 2008.
This collection was processed and the finding aid contents updated by Alina Serafini, and EAD and MARC records were updated by Christie Peterson in November 2010.
Appraisal has been conducted in accordance with Mudd Library guidelines.
