Collection consists of correspondence between Harvey S. Shipley Miller and his acquaintances, his research on (and purchase of works by) photographers Peter Henry Emerson and Eva Watson-Schütze, various ephemera and exhibition materials, several photographs, and various publications.
These materials were arranged and described by Sarah Lerner in 2016.

The Harvey S. Shipley Miller Collection is the physical property of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Archives. Collection Inventory
Contains booklet "Our Colombian Press" (printed November 1959).
Contains polaroid.
Letter inviting recipients to gala held at Tyler School of Art Photo Department; contains poster for exhbition sponsored by students on February 1, 1991.
Series consists of annotated photocopies of publications and auction catalogues; it also contains original documents pertaining to the purchase of various works.
Postcards (6) are blank. Consist of: “Hebrides Cow” (Thomas L. Davies, 1971), “Shaker Window” (Stephen Guion Williams, 1973), “Arabesque” (Thomas Carabasi, 1988), “Chester Nielson with J. Ogle (behind glass)” (George Platt Lyons, 1937), “Self Portrait with Bill Miller” (George Platt Lyons, c. 1951), and “Sisters” (Unknown, c. 1905).
