Overview and metadata sections

Frank Henry Conklin (1872-1956) was a student at Haverford college from 1891-1895, where he played football and tennis. He would later work in finance for the Girard Trust Company before cofounding his own banking firm under the name "Ristine and Conklin" in 1912.

Each piece of sheet music is titled "'95 March". One is labeled "for Guitar" and the other two are labled "Banjeaurine" and "for second Banjo." The essay is handwritten and titled "To What Extent Should We Avoid Proper Things To Help Others?" The essay is critical of socially suggested norms around what is considered "proper" and draws on Conklin's past as a football player.
