Walter Carroll Brinton was a member of the Haverford College class of 1915; the collection documents Haverford's cricket team tour of England and subsequent trip to Switzerland. Brinton died of Spanish Flu in 1918 while working with the American Friends Reconstruction in France. In 1920, his family established a scholarship fund in his name at Haverford.
Scrapbook created by Walter Carroll Brinton, class of 1915, to document and commemorate the Haverford College Cricket Team's English Tour and a subsequent trip to Switzerland in 1914. The collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, transportation tickets, announcements, correspondence, brochures, and legal documents.
The Cricket Team English Tour scrapbook was donated to Special Collections, Haverford College in June, 2019 by Matthew B. Hill, class of 1981.
