Overview and metadata sections

The Haverford Coterie is a poetry and art magazine associated with Haverford College Poetry Club. Poetry Club was founded by Augustus "Gusty" Helson and Nick Lasinsky (both class of 2023) in Fall 2021. In Spring 2023, Poetry Club set out to create a magazine to catalog the club members's poetry. Club members Alex Behm, Liesl Baldauf, and Maia Schwallie spearheaded the funding, outreach, and design of the magazine. While the first issue of the magazine was originally misprinted, corrected copies of were distributed in Woodside Cottage in May 2023. Woodside Cottage Lounge is the site of Poetry Club meetings.

This collection contains issues of The Haverford Coterie. One copy of Volume 1 No. 1 is a misprint. The magazine features art and poetry from Haverford and Bryn Mawr students. The front cover also includes the magazine's mission statement: "Our mission is to create a community of writers and artists across Haverford and Bryn Mawr and to document their work in a bi-annual publication. We host weekly meetings in Woodside Cottage to help foster this creative community."
