Overview and metadata sections

"Pre-Met"-itations was published every few weeks by the Army Air Forces Technical Training Command (AAFTTC) Training Detatchment #26, the Pre-Meteorological Unit. The men were part of an Air Corps unit trainig and taking classes at Haverford. Their presence was approved by a faculty vote in November, 1942. The Pre-Mets, as they referred to themselves, were among several military units based at Haverford during WWII. Others came from the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.)and included units specializing in language.

Contents include three volumes of the publication each consisting of five issues. The first issue was published on April 10, 1943. The final issue from February 12, 1944 appears to coincide with the departure of the men from Haverford. Issues of the "Pre-Met" included news about the program and those enrolled, sports reports, humor, drawings, and world news.
