Haverford College's Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA) was created in 2013 as a result of a two-year self study by both Haverford and Bryn Mawr College, in a move designed to better integrate career planning with the larger academic experience. The CCPA superseded the BiCollege Career Development Office, which was created in 1985. Prior to the creation of the BiCollege Career Development office, Haverford had its own Career Planning Office, which operated from 1972 to 1985. The majority of materials in this collection were created by the Haverford College Career Planning Office and the BiCollege Career Development Office.
This collection contains materials created by Haverford College's Center for Career and Professional Advising, as well as the office's predecessors, Haverford College Career Planning Office (1972-1985) and Haverford College and Bryn Mawr College Career Development Office (1985-2013).
The collection contains some information about career development services as well as resources generated by the career office to assist students with finding internships, externships, and jobs. The collection also includes annual reports, career surveys of recently graduated classes, and external reviews of the office. A large portion of the collection consists of publications produced by various iterations of the career office. Finally, the collection includes fliers and other publicity materials used to promote career office events.
