Overview and metadata sections

The North House quaker center was established in October of 1907, as an outgrowth of the religious and social work done by the Sixth and Noble Streets Association. The organization aimed to "improve neighborhood conditions, moral and physical. . . and above all, to develop that Christian character in our boys and girls that is the hope of the next generation."

This collection is comprised of the single volume of the minutes of the Sixth and Noble streets association, hosted at the North House, a Quaker center in Philadelphia during the 19th and early 20th century.
