Anna Spencer (1832-1905) belonged to Gwynedd Monthly Meeting. Her parents were Mary and Jesse Spencer. She also was a member of Abington Monthly and Horsham Particular Meetings. She died at her home in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This collection is composed of 50 handwritten volumes of Anna Spencer's diaries. Entries describe weather, social calls, domestic duties, family news, attendance at meetings, births, deaths, and marriages within the Quaker community, and the health of herself and family members.
The Anna Spencer diaries were donated to Special Collections, Haverford College in 1965 by Nancy Morris Wood.
