Mordecai Matlack (1808-1896) was a Quaker farmer in the vicinity of Byberry Township, just outside of Philadelphia.

This collection includes three volumes of the diaries of Mordecai Matlack. The first volume is an unbound diary, but the other two diaries in the collection are bound. The majority of entries describe Quaker meetings, social calls, and daily farm work.
