Reverend Bickley Burns Brodhead was born January 11, 1921 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, United States. He was a graduate of Haverford College, Temple University, and Union Seminary. He died on November 18, 2012, in Schuylkill, Pennsylvania, United States.

This collection contains two theses by Bickley Burns Brodhead. His thesis submitted to Union Theological Seminary focuses on the influence of Methodism on Quakerism up to the twentieth century, while his thesis submitted to Columbia University focuses on the relationship between the historic Jesus and Christ in early Quakerism.
