Overview and metadata sections

Richard Wood (1755-1822) was married to Elizabeth Bacon Wood (1776-1826) in Greenwhich, New Jersey. The Quaker family had several children including Charles Stuart Wood (1800-1873), Richard David Wood (1799-1869), Hannah Davis (1808-1894), and George Bacon Wood (1797-1879). The family later moved to Philadelphia. It appears that Edward Randolph Sr. (and Jr.) were the offspring of Richard David Wood. As for the creator, Augustus Edouart (1789-1861) was a French silhouette artist of the nineteenth century who specialized in full-length peices.

This collection contains 15 silhouettes. Some of them are stencils while others are cutouts with detailed pencil markings. Majority of silhouettes include a name attached.
