Margaret Hilles Shearman was born in 1873. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1896, and continued her post-graduate studies in sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.
This collection contains a letter written by Margaret Hilles Shearman to an unnamed friend, written on the back of a business card for her tutoring business. In the letter, Shearman gives a "thought for the day" about sparrows and robins.
