Horace Mather Lippincott (1877-1967) was born April 20th, 1877, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Robert Cook Lippincott and Cynthia Shoemaker Mather. He married Sarah S. Jenkins in June, 1914, and the couple had one child, Horace Mather Lippincott Jr. (1921-2010). Lippincott died in January, 1967, in Philadelphia.

This collection is comprised of the papers of Horace Mather Lippincott, and includes copies of his manuscript essays, clippings, and pamphlets related to Quakerism.

The Horace Mather Lippincott papers were donated to Special Collections, Haverford College in 2000 by H. Mather Lippencott, Jr.
